Salary range beginning at $125K , plus bonus, commensurate with experience
Relocation assistance provided up to $5,000

Verde Farms is seeking a Plant Manager, responsible for the daily operational and financial performance of Verde’s plant/facility operation. The Plant Manager oversees day to day production, quality, maintenance, and safety activities for the plant. The Plant Manager will also direct department managers and production supervisors/leads while ensuring efficiency goals, safety standards and company procedures are being met. The Plant Manager leads the development and execution of systems to ensure quality while improving plant efficiency and assesses new product development opportunities against current or future plant capabilities in an environment that respects employee safety.

Plant Manager Qualifications:

• Experience supervising and managing people and processes in a CPG environment
• 5 -7 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role
• Meat/protein processing experience preferred
• Knowledge of HAACP, GFSI and sanitation methods
• Experience in a continuous improvement/lean manufacturing environment
• Training and productivity platforms, such as RedZone, preferred
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with Excel, ERP and productivity systems to analyze performance and financial information
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
• Highly collaborative, perceptive, operates with integrity

Plant Manager Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate plant related operations over multiples shifts and ensure a safe and effective operating environment while working to optimize efficiency and quality
• Develop strategies to increase productivity and production using continuous improvement methods to improve production efficiency and plant safety
• Support the hiring and training of personnel
• Foster and develop a trained and motivated staff
• Enable, coach and guide effective teams to solve any problems that may arise
• Assure compliance and adherence with our HAACP plan; work with the production planner and supervisors to coordinate production activities and ensure customer orders are filled completely and in a timely manner
• Work with materials, equipment and service providers to ensure effective relationship management and performance
• Serve as the lead safety advocate while recognizing, documenting and correcting any safety issues in order to ensure a safe work environment at all times
• Assist all teams with goal setting and tracking for all measures within the plant
• Execution of all company disciplinary procedures in collaboration with HR
• Maintain a team environment and high employee morale
• Work with our partners in the facility to address any facility issues which may impact operations
• Oversee plant budget and profitability, working with Finance on weekly and monthly reporting, including analysis of variances
